Myer is currently looking for an Account Manager to be responsible for driving the success and growth of marketplace sellers by managing and nurturing our partner relationships. You will focus on optimising the performance of partner accounts, ensuring they achieve their business objectives while maximising revenue opportunities within the marketplace. By leveraging data insights, providing ongoing support, and driving strategic initiatives, the Account Manager ensures that both the marketplace and its sellers thrive in a competitive environment.
About the role:
- Account Management: Own and manage a portfolio of marketplace sellers, ensuring their success through performance monitoring, support, and strategy development.
- Partner Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with marketplace partners, identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration.
- Product Performance Optimisation: Work closely with sellers to ensure their product listings are optimised for visibility and sales. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve product performance.
- Sales Growth: Help partners meet and exceed their revenue and performance goals, using a hands-on approach to guide their marketplace strategy and tactics.
- Market Insights & Strategy: Stay up to date with industry trends, customer behaviours, and competitor activities to provide proactive recommendations and strategies to drive sales and improve overall marketplace presence.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with and support cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandise, and customer support, to ensure the success of marketplace partners and platform initiatives.
- Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Track, analyse, and report on seller performance metrics, offering actionable insights to improve performance and drive growth.
About you:
- 2+ years of experience in account management, client relations, or operations, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or retail.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of cultivating and sustaining strong business relationships. Proven success in handling multiple accounts in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
- Comfortable using data to make decisions, optimise account strategies, and provide actionable insights to partners.
- Ability to understand and address the needs and concerns of marketplace partners, ensuring they feel supported and engaged and are operating within their contractual SLA targets.
- Track record of driving business growth and meeting performance goals through effective account management.
- Familiar with e-commerce tools, digital platforms, and reporting systems. Comfortable navigating multiple tools to track and manage performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and address partner challenges with creative, solutions-oriented thinking.
